Hotels

Faculty members will stay at the Begijnhof Congreshotel. Please contact martine.thomis@faber.kuleuven.be for reservations.

Participants in the workshop are free to book their own housing in Leuven. We kindly refer you to the Leuven city website staying over in Leuven.

We did, however, block a set of rooms in hotel New Damshire which is located between the workshop location and the city center, separated by a beautiful walk through the Beguinage. Room rates are 108 €/night for a single room and 128 €/night for a double room, breakfast buffet included.

Alternatively, hotel La Royale offers a variety of single, double, triple or 4-persons (family) rooms (prices start at 47.5 €/night/person for rooms with only washbasin to about 71.25 €/night/person with bathroom, breakfast buffet included). It is a newly renovated hotel located in the restored railway station area, near the main shopping street of Leuven. Public transportation to FaBeR is available every 10 minutes.

Student Housing

A limited number of student housing rooms are available in the “Johannes XXIII”: residence at first come first serve basis. It offers simple rooms with a one-person bed, wash-basin and shower (toilets in the corridor). Wireless internet connection is available. Including bed sheets, towels and cleaning, prices will be about 29 €/night/person. Breakfast on workshop days (Mon-Fri) will be available at the nearby “Spuye”.
